CASE STUDY

E Commerce Management

B2B parts catalog with account pricing that the warehouse can actually pick

Palestra’s catalog was a PDF with a web form. We built B2B ecommerce with account pricing, interchange search, and pick lists that match how the warehouse is binned.

The operational problem

Customers emailed part numbers from a 2019 PDF. Inside sales quoted. The warehouse guessed the bin.

Wrong picks and phone quotes do not scale. Competitors with a real catalog were winning the easy orders.

What was breaking down

  • No interchange search
  • Price lists in email signatures
  • Pick tickets that used sales descriptions, not bin IDs

How Striders Tech approached it

We modeled the part the way the warehouse does — interchange, bin, pack — and let signed-in accounts see their price without a phone call.

What we built

  • Interchange and OEM search
  • Account-specific pricing
  • Cart to pick-ticket with bin location
  • Cut-off times the site and warehouse share

Results the team can measure

  • Phone quotes down on standard fast-movers
  • Pick accuracy up because the ticket has a bin
  • After-hours orders land without a salesperson

Who this case study is for

Distributors whose “ecommerce” is still a contact form on top of a PDF.

Palestra Parts operates in industrial ecommerce. The work is a custom system designed around their process, not a generic template with extra fields bolted on.

THE OUTCOME

What changed after the system went live

Phone quotes

down on standard fast-movers

Pick accuracy

up because the ticket has a bin

After-hours

orders land without a salesperson

THE TAKEAWAY

Good software doesn't add complexity. It removes it.
